For over a decade Nancy Hoar has been teaching yoga at 7 exclusive golf and country clubs in Northern Palm Beach County, guiding people to find their breath or “oxygen mask” and place it over themselves first so that they can help others. This has become a mantra of Nancy’s as she has been married 33 years, mother of 3 and now a Mimi, a grandmother of 3 and yes they are the cutest kids ever!
Teaching private sessions Nancy adapts each yoga practice to meet the specific needs and modifications necessary for you individually, teaching in a flow or vinyasa that can be gentle and calming, strong and sweaty or all of the above. All practices also incorporate pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. Music is always infused into the practice and Nancy loves to involve you in the musical selections. Always arriving with a smile and compassion the focus is on you!
Nancy uses her experience and ingenuity to make any space a yoga space in your home.
Nancy is certified by Shiva Rea and the Samudra Global School of Living Yoga. She studied with Shiva at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Massachusetts and at Exhale Center for Sacred Movement in Venice, California and had the honor of assisting Shiva on retreat in Santorini, Greece and at the Yoga Journal Conference in Hollywood, Florida. In addition to yoga Nancy has studied the sister science of yoga, Ayurveda, with Maria Garre. By combining these ancient practices with some modern twists Nancy can develop a truly individualized practice to suit your needs.
It’s time to transform your body and mind with the time honored practice of yoga and with private instruction it’s all about you! If you have vintage body parts, body parts that have served you well for a while but now need some extra care or even new parts such as knees, hips, etc., Nancy can create a practice tailored for you. Change the idea that flexibility is a pre-requisite for practicing yoga and learn that it is a benefit that transforms you in all aspects of life.
